Kasseri P.D.O is a traditional product of Protected Designation of Origin. It is made from pasteurized sheep and goat milk taken from local herds in a ratio of up to 80% sheep and 20% goat milk. With a solid texture and white-yellow color, as it takes many months to mature, it has a slightly spicy taste and rich flavors.
. It is consumed as an appetizer, in snacks, paired with a glass of wine or pan-seared (“saganaki”). It can also be used as a filling in pies, omelets and pizzas.
